Mother Tongue

Beberapa hari lalu saya melakukan perjalanan menggunakan bis, di deket saya ada orang yang wjahnya asia banget, i couldn’t say he was an Indonesian, a Malay, a Thai, or so, karena rata-rata wajah ras kita mirip kan ya. I wasnt focus enough ngeliatin itu orang, cuz i thought its impolite right?

Tiba-tiba hape si orang tersebut berdering. At the first, im not sure what this guy was talking about on the phone. But then, everything was getting clear.

That guy :

Hah? Saha nu maot? maneh ceuk saha? Ya Alloh, watir kitu. nepika jejeritan? Nya hoyongna mah ngalayad tapi da kumaha sok, jauh kitu, piraku urang kudu mulih heula jang ngalayad hungkul. Eh siah wawanianan nyingsieunan sagala. Enya engke weh urang duaan ngalayad pas uih, kan ngan tinggal 2 dinten acarana oge, maneh geus di berlin? tooott. berhenti nelpon.

Oh pulsa abis? nya entos atuh, nanaonan nelpon sagala. Enya engke uih.

So gua hanya bisa senyum-senyum nahan ketawa. Ternyata that guy is my another brother. Sunda bisa eksis kali ya di negara antah berantah juga, but sometimes some people just feel ashamed to use their own mother tongue, ngerasa kampungan. Kata siapa coba? Seneng aja malah bisa maki-maki senior ato dosen, dengan ekspresi yang lempeng padahal arti kata-katanya parah, hehe. Just be proud i think, and i miss Bandung so much.
